Sam Foskey is a minister with standing in the United Church of Christ, a denomination in full communion with the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA). Pastor Foskey has been an ordained minister since 1992 and has served churches in four different denominations and in three states, Georgia, Indiana, and Illinois. He is a graduate of Adrian (Georgia) High School, Georgia Southern University, and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has Basic Interim Ministry Training through the PCUSA denomination. He is married to Linda Benz of Carbondale IL. He likes fantasy and science fiction and cats and dogs, specifically the Georgia Bulldogs!

First Presbyterian Church in Murphysboro is located at 51 Crescent Drive.  Sunday morning services are at 10:45AM.  Join us!

   Murphysboro has an emergency texting service available.  Anyone who has a smart phone and texts, can subscribe for FREE.  If they live in Murphysboro, they can text to:  33222 the message MURPHYGOV.  We had the boil water order for the whole town and then a water line break for parts of the town just a few days ago.  They promised they would only text residents in an emergency.  There is no charge.    Frank Puttman
